January was quiet here – and that was intentional.
I took what I’ve been calling a “Dry January” from social media. Not because the work stopped, but because I needed space to listen, finish infrastructure I’ve put off for too long, and tend to some family responsibilities.
Early winter is often slower for employment-related work. Add extreme cold, snow, and a labor market that looks stable on paper but feels far more complicated in practice – and it felt like the right moment to step back.
During that time, I also found myself doing something I regularly coach others through: applying for roles, navigating online systems, and refining how I present my own experience. Practicing what we preach sharpens perspective.
February feels like the right time to re-engage – not louder, just clearer.
If you’ve been recalibrating too, you’re not behind; you are paying attention.
